Jennifer McElroy
Jennifer McElroy has had a love for the written language since as young as she can remember. As a product of the military, she moved around a lot, so retreating to her own books and stories provided connection to something bigger.
Jennifer graduated with honors from The University of North Texas with her B.A in News-Editorial Journalism in 2013. Since then, she has traveled around the world teaching English and Journalism, all the while documenting her travels through her creative writing blog. Most recently, she was a teacher/mentor for Fusion Academy in English, Language Arts, Journalism, and SAT/ACT test prep.
She can't wait to work with your student in investigating their own stories and path forward. Sometimes we all could use a little help uncovering our own intrinsic genius.
Lisa Modica
Lisa Modica (she/her) was young when she fell in love with reading and writing, and although she’s never “been” a writer, she has written in many capacities for work over the years.
Lisa holds an MBA in Sustainable Enterprise from Dominican University, a BA in Environmental Studies from CU Boulder via Oberlin, and has studied in Zanzibar and Kauai. She’s worked in conservation, marketing, advertising, education, and real estate.
And, although she does love to write, she really would rather do anything but write her own bio. She gets it – it’s tough. What’s her favorite thing? Typically adventuring, and laughing is a close second – specifically laughing with her family, laughing at her dogs. Another favorite thing? Helping people do tough things.

Shay Munroe
Shay Munroe (she/her) is a writer and artist based in Los Angeles, CA, with a background in the performing arts in film and theater since age 11.
Before attending Ithaca College for Film, Photography, and Visual Arts, she took a gap year where she volunteered at a nature conservancy on the South Island of New Zealand, taught English in an orphanage and township in South Africa and studied French in Nice, France. She believes that travel has given her inspiration, a broader perspective and appreciation for life.
Shay is an advocate for taking a gap year to gain a stronger understanding of the self before starting on the trajectory of studies and a career. She has written stageplays, feature film scripts, and poetry and is currently studying Creative Writing at Antioch University.
Coming from experience working with ages 13 to 18 in wilderness therapy in the Utah desert, she is able to bring an element of guidance and deep presence to her work.
Shay loves to work hard and play hard, striving to bring laughter and fun while also being present for the deeper moments. In her free time she paints, does experimental photography, and is an avid adventurer in the outdoors: paragliding, riding motorcycles, climbing, surfing, and trail running with her sweet mini aussie, Cash.
Vindhyaa Pasupuleti
Vindhyaa Pasupuleti (she/her) is a born storyteller and enjoys guiding students in their journey of authentic, powerful storytelling. For over 7 years she's guided students of diverse ages, identities, and intellectual passions through academic tutoring as well as about 3 years of coaching high school students in their college entrance essays.
Her unique coaching style is positive, encouraging, and empathetic. She believes in unlocking students' own voice and inherent leadership through storytelling. She is thrilled to guide you in your essay writing process and views this as a unique opportunity to share your distinct character, strengths, and story.
She obtained a Dual Bachelors Degree in Health Equity and Neuroscience at Rhodes College as a first-generation college student in the US where she examined interdisciplinary fields of sociology, political science, psychology, and cultural neuroscience. She's worked in diverse non-profit, tutoring, and grant-writing experiences from student-led free clinics to international community-based organizations as well as within distinct sectors of public health, education, and immigration. Her persuasive and compelling writing and speaking skills has nominated herself for the Thomas J. Watson Fellowship and the Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship Program.
She comes from a proud and chaotic family of South Asian immigrants. In her spare time, she enjoys trying new sports, traveling abroad, and journaling/creative writing. She currently resides in New York City, NY.
